Cool bar for a quick beer and snack at the Pier 57. The pesto potato chips are delicious and the prosciutto portion is good. Good wine and beer. The pilsner beer tastes a little bit like an IPA - it’s good. A bit overpriced but it’s probably because of the location.
I havent ordered Due Madri food, but I just wanted to sing the praises of the Italian-style pilsner that they sell (Talea, made in Williamsburg, Brooklyn). Here it is pictured with an oyster sandwich from Mother Shuckers.
Great Italian sandwiches made with perfect bread and delicious, high quality ingredients! You can grab a sandwich and enjoy it on pier 57’s rooftop park
Delicious. You wont find a sandwich like this except in Italy. It made me so happy to partake of this delightful morsel and gaze out to the Hudson. Worth a trip to Pier 57.
The sandwiches are phenomenal. The service is top notch. The bar and kitchen were kept very clean. While enjoying a sandwich and a beer, the owner kept great conversation with me while cleaning up, as it was closing time. I was at a Google event that ended late and she didnt mind waiting some time for me to finish up.The sandwiches remind me of my time living in Italy and had an authentic flair to them. The ingredients she uses are top quality, with ingredients imported directly from Italy. If youre in the area and looking for a fantastic sandwich with an Italian wine or beer, look no further, youve found the spot.
Wow! Could not even dream about more! Nina sandwich is pure delicious!
Lovely afternoon walk about at pier 57. Stopped at Due madri and had some wine. Jocyln and Erica were so nice and helpful with our wine choices. Definitely want to go back. They were all great!
I can’t underscore how incredibly delicious these sandwiches are. Came a couple weeks ago and got the Lupa. It blew me away, and I would not shut up about this sandwich. So good I came back the following weekend to try a different sandwich. Dare I say….best paninis in the city? No exaggeration.
Yesterday around 7:30pm to 8:00pm I usually go to Pier 57 for one of Due Madris delicious sandwiches. However, there was a person who was serving but couldnt even coordinate his words well. It was as if he was intoxicated.
I thought the veggie sandwich at Dean & Deluca could not be beat. Yes…, it’s been that long. But I got caught craving and had to go for it. Oh MOTHER OF GOD !! Nonna !!! The absolute BEST flavor dance my mouth has had in years. The rhythm the ingredients made with every chew had me humming Nonna,Nona,Nonna with my eyes closed. I’m in NY for a month. I’ll be back at least two more times. My sandwich was worth the long trip into the city. Thank you ladies.
Currently eating a Huey sandwich. This sandwich is not worth $26. Not even close. Go ahead and get some wine. But eat somewhere else. Most overpriced thing Ive bought in NY so far. Which is saying something.
The smallest little 2 inch by 2 inch sandwich, for $23. no sandwich is ever good enough to justify that horrific price gouging. try another stall!
INCREDIBLE and authentic panini/sandwiches that remind me of my favourite El Paradiso sandwich from Gustavo in Puglia! I catered a party with the Mortadella, Burrata, Pistachio Pesto and Arugula ones. They were so good and all my friends were asking for the location so they could all go back there. You have to go!
Fantastically fresh and delicious sandwiches and the owners take time to let you sample wines and meats to make sure you will love what you get.
This place is great! Husband and I split the Sergio sandwich which was fantastic. We were recommended a rosé that even my husband enjoyed. Service was equally great. Would recommend
One person trying to do everything. Good food but slow as molasses.
The sandwiches here are delicious, and the enthusiasm of the staff is amazing. It’s a bit hidden in the marketplace, so be sure to look for it!
Best sandwiches I’ve had in my 2.5 yrs living in NYC. Augmented by a great view and super friendly and genuine service from someone despite the fact that they’d been working by themselves all day when it was super busy. Oh, and bonus… no disposables and good wine. We will definitely be back and will recommend to out-of-towners
Truly the best sandwich of your life (the Nina)
Delicious sandwiches - fresh and very good ingredients. Taste of Italy in a wonderful location. Nice variety too.
Incredible food and the best service in the Pier! We had the Bianca, the absolute best turkey -I didn’t know turkey could be so delicious, and the vegetarian Nonna which had a mouthwatering blend of flavors.I hosted an event with my org at Pier 57 and Due Madri worked with us to provide the most delicious lunch we could have imagined! They were incredibly accommodating and the sandwiches were such a hit we had to get more! It’s the perfect meal at Pier 57 and they are the KINDEST people -such great staff. It’s tucked away in the corner and so worth it. I cannot recommend them enough!
We ordered Due Madri sandwich platters for a catering event at Pier 57. All of the assorted sandwiches were delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. Service was responsive and they delivered on time. Great pick for catering or for lunch!
Service was awful. Food was fine.
Amazing food and the service is unbeatable. Bryan specifically did an incredible job of making my sandwich & the service was fast!
Had a super delicious sandwich with the most succulent mortadella that just melted in my mouth! The owners were super friendly and clearly care for their craft! A must when at Pier 57!
My favorite lunch spot! Sandwiches are delicious and owners are such and inspiring chefs!
Visited this place for lunch a few weeks back, as it was located a short walk from Little Island. Ordered the Nina, as it was the similar to sandwich I had tried at AllAntico Vinaio in Florence, Italy (previously the greatest sandwich Id eaten). This was BETTER. Amazing pistachio pesto, the right amount of stracciatella, mortadella sliced perfectly. Would recommend to anyone. Will visit again when Im in NYC. Really cool staff, provided excellent service.
Over priced and average sandwiches that took over 30 minutes and multiple reminders to the staff to get toDecent drinks though
Get the Sergio. It was one of the best things I’ve eaten.
The closest thing you can find to an Italian Sandwich this side of The Atlantic. 🤌
I cant resist the call of mortadella and pistacchio pesto! Very good idea to add lemon, it was even better! On the other hand, it would be even better if the focaccia was heated before assembling everything :)
Excellent attention!
After eating it, it was delicious.Looking for restaurant reviewsAs expected, the rating is high.I was hungry, so I came into the market, looked around, and placed an order. It was very good~~
