Cafe 2BY2 is a cute little shop that popped up with the tastiest desserts! They specialize in tiramisus, and have all sorts of interesting flavors for you to try. Like all asian desserts, their tiramisus are well balanced, and not too sweet. They also serve some food, mainly pastas and some small bites, along with teas and drinks!I really enjoyed their seaweed pork floss taro tiramisu, which was not a combo I thought was even remotely possible. Their dalgona coffee was also nice and fragrant! The shop itself looks more spacious than you think, and is made lively and homey with the floral decor. They are a laptop friendly space, so if you want to get some work done while appreciating a sweet treat, then this is the place for you!
Just had a delightful visit to Cafe 2By2, a true haven for tiramisu lovers! With over 18 types of tiramisu, each more tempting than the last, this cafe is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. I tried the Sesame Soybean Tiramisu and Matcha Tiramisu, and both were phenomenal, perfectly balanced flavors, beautifully presented, and just the right amount of sweetness. Peach Lychee Tiramisu is good if you love sweet fruits. The Yuzu Matcha and Dalgona Coffee were also excellent, providing a refreshing contrast to the rich desserts. If you’re in the mood for exquisite tiramisu and great drinks in a cozy setting, Cafe 2By2 won’t disappoint!
One word, AMAZING!! The atmosphere was so cute there is plenty of seatings and their tiramisu’s oh my god! Its not super sweet (in a good way) the cream filling was delicious and they have so many interesting flavors to try. Not just tiramisu but they have a good variety of food and drink options as well. Must visit for sure.
This is the best tiramisu place I have ever been to...the texture, flavor, and sweetness are just perfection. Presentation is spot on and is great for pictures hahaI ordered the peach lychee tiramisu and the taro mochi tiramisu. Both were sooo good. The peach lychee was tart and sweet, but just the perfect amount. Additionally, the taro mochi had a flavour hard to describe. Strong yet refreshing. Would definitely come again and would definitely recommend.
Came by with my friends 10/11 at 12pm! The interior itself is minimalistic but very beautiful. It’s an environment I would definitely study in. Lots of teens come here once school ends. It gets crowded around 2-3pm and there are limited seats because the cafe itself is a small store. I recommend their matcha drinks and their tiramisus! (I LOVE tiramisu and this lived up to my expectations despite their various intriguing combinations) . My friend got a strawberry matcha; very delicious and rich in flavor in terms of matcha (so far the best matcha!!⭐️) I’ve bought their sesame soybean tiramisu and let me tell you- this is some of the best tiramisu I’ve ever had in NYC! If you love sesame, this is the one! It’s not too sweet but the taste of sesame is there! The texture itself is amazing; soft, fluffy and creamy! I’ve also bought their scrimp lemon pepper pasta and it satistifed my cravings! The pasta is cooked al dental (my style!) and the seasoning is perfect~ there is a hint of acidcity but it helps balances the spice flavorings, I wish I bought two :( My friend got the scrimp with marinara sauce and it also very delicious! It is quite spicy so I liked the scrimp lemon pepper more. Later on, we also bought the oreo tiramisu which is sooo good!! Taste literally like oreos. We also got salted caramel tiramisu; the caramel wasn’t too sweet which I liked but it’s very rich in flavor thanks to the salt. The names and flavors are so unique that I bought another tiramisu to go; a peach lychee tiramisu. It was very refreshing and perfectly sweet! There are lychee toppings on top and they tasted amazing!! ⭐️ Later on, my friend asked if they had water and they did! But on a glass cup! And the waiter gave us another glass to my friend and I (even though we didn’t ask), we appreciated the consideration they had for us! I will definitely come back to the cafe and try out more of the food items that they have to offer!! ⭐️❤️
Service:I came here with my mom for an afternoon date. Arrived and told just sit wherever there’s table. It’s a QR code menu thru phone so don’t expect any physical menu, and you pay immediately through the website after you ordered. Sat down for like 10mins expecting someone to bring us water but no, I looked at every other table, no water. I had to ask the server to give me water. I feel like water service is the bare minimum you can do in a food service industry, or at least provide a water station for people to get water without asking servers if you’re not planning to provide water. No napkins provided either, unless you ask.Wait time:We ordered two pasta, an appetizer, two drinks and a slice of cake. We waited close to 20mins for our first pasta to be brought to our table, then another 7-8mins for the second one. Finally our drink came after 5 more minutes. The cafe was crowded but there weren’t a lot of people ordering actual food besides the drinks and cakes so I don’t know why it took them so long to serve us.Food Quality:I’m going to be honest. The food is very mediocre not worth the price or the quality. The pasta cost $17, appetizer $10, drinks around $6-7 and the tiramisu cake $15 per 3”x3” slice. Don’t get me started with the cake, the cafe is hyped up for the cake but quality is below average for $15 a slice (I am a foodie for sweets so I know what’s good and what’s not). The cake was brought to us 1/4 melted, with dry ladyfingers in the middle. Overall it’s just a dry cake with not much flavoring. Even my mom said it’s not good, because she recently came back from china, having the exact same cake; stating she had it better off of a street vendor for $3 dollars.Everyone who’s there are there for the gram, so if you are coming here for the gram go for it but for good quality food, save your money and go somewhere else.
A wide collection of Tiramisu that tastes extremely delicious. The Seaweed Pork Floss Taro Tiramisu sounds odd but hits the perfect spot of sweet and salty balance.
Stopped by to try their tiramisu after dinner. Actually walked past this cafe since we were looking for a sign that said ‘2BY2’ and not ‘two by two’ and had to backtrack. The cafe is on the second floor. They have a wide variety of tiramisu but we decided to try the original. There’s plenty of tables to sit and eat. The tiramisu was really good but a bit pricey (~$14). It wasn’t dry at all and liked that it wasn’t too sweet.
Wish could give less than one star for their service. Walked into the store at 7:55PM, not very busy for a Saturday. Asked the counter staff about ordering, and was mentioned that you should take a seat and order using the QR code on the table.Placed an original tiramisu and received order confirmation at 8:05PM. Sat there staring at other people receiving their food until 8:35PM when I went to ask the front desk staff about my order. Saw my receipt printed, left there on their counter. When asked the staff respond I am doing online/to-go orders and your order is the next to be served.Come on guys, one piece of tiramisu to be served. It’s not like it’s made for order, it is literally sitting there. All you had to was to cut it out and serve. Also noticed near by table ordering a cake to be had at the store, and the store staff packing it for to-go.I wouldn’t go there again, to be treated badly.Food: 3.5/5. Good tiramisu but too much cocoa powder on the top almost choking.Service: 0/5. Absolute disaster to cut and serve a piece of tiramisu.Price: 2/5. $13.95 for a piece of tiramisu, with tax comes down to $15.19. Over priced.
It looked very cute in there, but it was very crowded when I came in and couldn’t dine in like I wanted to. I was also upset because only after I ordered and waited 10 mins did they say that the thing I wanted was out of stock… I would have just left and came back another day but I had already paid, so I had to choose something I didn’t want/like! It sucks since it was so expensive for a slice of tiramisu in the first place.Edit—so I tried the tiramisu when I got home and I’m unfortunately taking off a star. It was not worth the almost 15 dollars, probably 7 AT MOST. It was incredibly tasteless; it was supposed to be salted caramel biscoff or something like that but the biscoff cookie garnish on top was the thing with the most flavor on the entire slice… And the slice was so small to begin with. Again, very disappointed and regret coming here, will not be coming back again.
Cafe 2BY2 is a cute little cafe in the East Village. It’s a very comfy spot with amazing tiramisu! We ended up trying the Thai tea and Ovaltine and the Oreo and Mochi tiramisu, and both of them were just phenomenal. Words cannot describe how much I enjoyed the tiramisu and I highly suggest dropping by with a book or a friend if you have time!
Tiramisu tastes good, but I feel there isn’t enough espresso soaked into the ladyfingers, which are a bit dry. If you get there too early in the day not all the flavors are available unfortunately. And one tiramisu is very expensive, so I don’t really think it’s worth the price it is? The chocolate one tasted pretty good though.
This place definitely deserves more hype! Really great place for co-working / studying - lots of comfy tables and chairs, wifi, really really great tea & desserts!Their Lemon Teas are their specialty and if you are a fan of asian lemon teas you will love these! Super refreshing for summer and not too sweet!
Really good tiramisu, would recommend the berry one it was the best one from what I tried. The mango passionfruit was a bit too sweet for me and the passionfruit flavor was not really there. Service was also great the staff were very friendly. Definitely would go back to try their other flavors.
The chocolate mochi was so delicious. It literally just melted in our mouths. I highly recommend trying at least once!!
Very cozy place and the tiramisu was tasty! We tried two: the taro one and lychee one, both were great.
The different tiramisus were so extremely cute! my only complaint is that i wish they had more sweet flavors (like chocolate and more), i went at night but there were still ppl studying, so i would recommend it as a nice place to study as well!
Their stuff is great but… milk tea is literally 3/4 ice and $10? That’s lame and should not be tolerated. So as much as the cake was great, can’t reward this kind of chiseling. Not coming back and I suggest you walk on by as well.
Everything I got was so delicious!! deff going back to try more treats!!vibes were 10/10 and the staff were sweet!! deff recommend coming for a sweet treat
Come warm up inside Cafe 2By2 with delicious sweet and savory things. They have tiramisu flavors you won’t find elsewhere. They have one of the best basque cheesecakes around town. Spaghetti is amazingly delicious with the perfect tenderness and flavor. That black pepper beef is so good. Quench your thirst with different coffee, tea, or matcha drink. Nothing is too sweet nor overwhelming perfect for those with picky taste buds. Stop by and enjoy drinks, desserts and spaghetti with Cafe 2By2’s friendly staffs!
Adorable 2nd floor dessert cafe in nyc. It was a perfect spot to continue our night out. We tried the peach lychee, mango and Oreo tiramisu. All were delicious. The guava gardenia milk tea half sugar was the perfect beverage to wash down our dessert. It was on the pricier side but worth the splurge. I’m definitely going back!!
Cakes not only look good but also taste delicious and are not overly sweet (highest compliment from an Asian, lol)
Wow, wow—this place serves some of the most delectable food I’ve ever had! Everything is fresh, clean, and bursting with flavor. I’ve tried four items from their menu, and each one was incredible. highly recommended!
Very delicious but know that it is very expensive. This is more of a special treat place imo. $30-something for 2 slices of cake. Good flavors though and not too sweet
Ordered the house special pasta, pink guava, matcha coconut cloud, and the oreo mochi tiramisu! Food was good and had comfortable seatings, sat by the window with the christmas tree! 🎄
I wasn’t blown away by the flavors. Subtle taste. I could see myself being here only once. It’s on an expensive end.
Completely overpriced and over-recommended / over-complimented on social media. Atmosphere is not comfortable, taste is mess(except for the flower tea), service is slow. Can’t trust the pic on social media anymore…
I absolutely love the vibe! It’s so peaceful and tranquil. LOVE that they stick to the Taylor Swift playlist and the floral decors! The food and drinks absolutely match up with the vibe. It’s delicious, subtle and comforting! This place just became one of my favorite spots in NYC!
Super cute vibes and great selection of dessert options. Matcha and tiramisu were excellent
Love the desserts! The flavors are intense! They are pretty slow to serve the desserts, so ensure you are not tight on time. Also, when ordering online, only use Chowbus because that’s the one they use in-store and the one with the correct price; the rest are showing higher prices than it is.
Been here twice!! Good strawberry matcha, liked the service, tiramisu was BOGO which was great. Wasn’t blown away by the tiramisu but it was good.
Very aesthetically charming cafe. The tiramisu was delicious. Staff were very attentive and nice.
Ordered delivery. Honestly so disappointed. Not worth the price. So expensive but not as delicious as I expected.
Another must try if you are after a little sweet. The sea salt caramel tiramasu was so so so good. The cream was light and tasty. The sea salt was subtle, and the biscoff crumb on top made it not overly sweet. It is a little pricey but worth it
Appears soft & fluffy but it’s really just dry — does not taste like tiramisu.ordered a salted caramel and chestnut
Atmosphere was great!Cute and aesthetically pleasing cafe!Ordered Strawberry Matcha Latte and Thai Tea Ovaltine Tiramisu. Both were good, I couldn’t taste the Ovaltine on the Tiramisu though but overall it was very soft, light, and not too sweet!
It’s a nice place with yammy deserts)
My wife and I sat down here and loved the sesame soybean and oreo mochi triamisus. Very, very good flavors!
New dessert shop!! We stumbled upon this while in the area and so glad we discovered this place! Desserts specialize in Asian flavors that are actually apparent when you taste them, and we also received super lovely service!
So cutee and the matcha is perfect but the lychee tiramisu has no flavour.
Delicious drink and cake! Strawberry matcha latte and short cake both tasted very fresh! Lots of fresh strawberries. Cafe is also quiet and clean, i would come back when im in the area.
Such a cute place!!!!! the desserts are yummy, drinks are pretty okie. you’ll get super cute pics here
Peach lychee tiramisu was yummy!
More mousse-cake rather than tiramisu but love the pork floss seaweed, mango and durian cakes.
This is a nice dessert cafe. There was something wrong with the kiosk that made my orders punched twice which i didnt noticed. Then the cashier noticed it and refunded it. I saw this cafe in IG reels and wanted to give it a shot. So I recommended it to my friend. We were both satisfied with the food, service and ambiance. Its a cute cafe serving the cutest slice of tiramisu. We ordered spaghetti, peach lychee tiramisu, pistachio tiramisu and mango pomelo sago. Everything was good. For some, theyll say the slice of tiramisu is pricey, but for me i think its just right. We had a pleasant experience in this cafe.Thank you for the wonderful experience.
Its good to try once… But for me the prices were hight….
Elegant space with a very pretty pastry case! We came around 2pm on a Friday and there were plenty of seats available.4.5/5 Black Tea Chestnut Cake: lovely flavor from their floral leaning black tea, generous chestnut filling, very fresh whipped cream and cake layers. Highly recommend!4/5 Berry Tiramisu: berries were on the tart side, and wished there were more layers or textural components.4.5/5 Strawberry Matcha - smooth matcha with a hint of fresh strawberry!Would absolutely visit again to try more menu items! This spot absolutely stands up to more viral spots like Ando Patisserie.
Gardenia milk tea was incredible and the seaweed pork floss tiramisu was not too sweet
I tried this place after reading good reviews. However, I’m so disappointed by it. First, it costs $15 for a 3”x3” tiramisu. The lychee on top is from cans lychee. The cake is a little dry. It looks like the fridge that it was in was not cold enough and it is melting a bit. The taste is fine. We also got a yuzu matcha and a coconut cloud matcha. The yuzu matcha was so sour. And coconut cloud one is better but not sweet at all. They give you a lot of ice. So not much matcha. It costs $8 for a small cup. My wife ordered a large but they gave us a small. They said they would refund to the card but we still have not gotten it. The decor is nice. But that’s it don’t go if you are looking for good food at a good price.
Parking here is expensive as it is $1 for every 10 minutes. The cafe does have adequate seating, but tables are too close to each other. Loud cafe. Ordered cocunut latte, strawberry matcha & mango tiramisu. Everything was good, but too pricey. The tiramisu comes out to $17 with tax so be wary of that.
Everything over there is amazing, the drinks were delicious and I did not waste drinking it all.
I came in with my sister and the store was really cute, pretty and clean! The seating area was nice and spacious and the display showed all the different tiramisus available. We got the strawberry tiramisu to share and it was great ! This cafe is such a cute and fun concept and would definitely come back to try a different flavor as there are so many!
So happy there’s a new dessert spot in this neighborhood. A little pricey but very light, not too sweet slices of tiramisuRankings (from most to least favorite):1. Pandan Coconut: very aromatic pandan flavor! Well balanced flavors.2. Earl Grey Chestnut: the earl grey is fragrant and the chestnut compliments it nicely. If you don’t like chestnut paste texture, you may not like it but it is topped with it.3. Thai Tea Ovaltine: didn’t taste much of the Thai tea
Mediocre and overpriced. Flavors are a mess. Matcha quality is not good. Interior is very cute.
Fluffy cakes and not too sweet, but the service was terrible, they don’t give us water, utensils, napkins or anything and drinks took forever
Arrived on a Sunday afternoon. After ordering at the register, we waited 20 minutes for our takeout order to be ready. The store space was very crowded and we had to stand the whole time. People were also crowding outside. The tiramisu was dry and lacking flavor. The ladyfinger portions were not soaked at all and we did not taste the alleged pistachio flavor in the pistachio berry tiramisu. The desserts are also very expensive for the portions and flavor
It just opened and the drinks n the deserts are great
Nice little environment, self service, good food. Not a bad place except the prices are lowkey off the charts. I might just have broke standards 🤷♀️
I had the most incredible experience at Cafe2by2 the first-everspot in the city serving tiramisu with amazing Asian flavors like matcha, taro, durian, black sesame, and more! 😍 Each bite was absolutely delightful, and the creativity behind these flavors blew me away. 🌟Not only do they offer these delicious desserts, but they also serve noodles and other tasty dishes, making it the perfect spot to grab a meal and indulge in something sweet! 🍜🍰If you’re looking for something unique and full of flavor, I highly recommend checking this place out! You won’t regret it! 💚🍵✨Follow @spinx17 for more NYC food recs!
Friendly staff, flavorful dessert with affordable price, cute packaging, clean and cozy atmosphere:)Can’t wait to go back and try every flavor of your tiramisu!
Amazing atmosphere, food is ok nothing unique and so is service
Sooo many options, I liked their tiramisus and cakes but they were a bit sweet for me. Their matcha latte is made with some premixed syrup and fell flat for me.
Nice place to sit but not worth it for takeout
Best cafe in NY!!! Has nice seats
Black Tea Chestnut cake is so delicious, I will definitely come back again!😋
Your a cafe you guys should open earlier 😭😭😭😭
Delicious desserts and a beautiful space. I would definitely recommend if you are in the neighborhood.
Yummy yummy yummy yummy yummy
Really bland/mild flavor for tiramisu, and way over priced. Presentation is very cute but that doesn’t mean much when the quality isn’t there. Seems a bit like a tourist/Instagram trap. They also have music blasting so loud it’s hard to think in there.
It was the opening day and there were a lot of people.Waited for a while to be seatedOrdered two flavors of tiramisuOne is taro meat floss flavorThe taro flavor is not too strong but very densePaired with the seaweed and meat floss on top, the overall salty and sweet flavor is delicious.Another flavor is durianDurian fresh cream is dense and rich in durian flavorThe sandwich in the middle is filled with durian pulp! Very stunningis one of our favoritesThe drink of choice is matcha latte. The matcha flavor is rich and milky.Overall it’s delicious. Can visit again
Hello, the photos are magnificent but why the newspaper under the cakes?
