Whiskey Town

The service here is great. Ive heard it only picks up when NYU kids come out for drinks, but their whiskey selection is not one to scoff at. We exchanged a lot of music with our bartender, who played us Sitting in The Park.

My brother happen to find this place while doing Laundry. We had a blast even though it was a bit quite with customers. The bar tender was awesome! Tigg was his name? sorry if I misspelled it but awesome service!

I had an event here, and I was really surprised. They were super accommodating, printed out signs for the event, the bartender Jordan was great, and we all had the best time. Thanks guys!

You dont go to Whisky Town for the selection of pretty much anything. The beer is bottom barrel choice and the whisky/bourbon selection is mid level for the area. With that said, the atmosphere is laid back and easy going which is nice when you are just looking to hang out and chat with some friends. Best to get there on the earlier end though if you want to be able to actually talk to people around you.Bartenders are friendly and attentive which earns this place that 4th star.

Lovely quiet bar, our server Dash was incredibly sweet and kind, the pretzel was amazing and the spicy pickle back was phenomenal. We were shocked such a gem wasn’t packed with people and it was by far the friendliest service we received in the city. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend ✨

The ambience was fun but definitely take a picture of your receipt. I was double-charged for the drinks I bought.

This place has really friendly bartenders and is a pretty fun time. Until it isnt. Get there early (7pm - 8pm) and you are fine. And then, some time around midnight, it gets SO PACKED YOU CANT MOVE.Its crazy. Of course, if you go during a weeknight, you should be good. Great place to enjoy during off hours.

Met up with a few friends at about 8pm on a Thursday. Went up to the bar and met the bartender, AC, and had a shot of house whiskey and a pickle back, which went down better than I expected. Sat down at a booth and had some more drinks. They only serve beer in a can, but they do put the can in a nice little beer coozy. So we had our beers and a shot or two here and there. To our surprise, AC brought us some fresh popcorn. Awesome, right? Whats even more awesome is that he kept refilling our popcorn as soon as we ran out. You heard me... FREE POPCORN! Anyway, the place was totally relaxed and perfect for catching up with friends. End of the night and the tab was significantly lower than expected for a NYC bar. Huge bonus!! Overall, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere was totally relaxed. Place was more on the empty side, but that was perfect for us. Not too loud or overcrowded. I will definitely head back there.

Bartender gives you a dirty look and shows the receipt to others if you tip $1 a drink (standard). I’m not tipping 20% on my beers💀

Whiskey Town... The younger brother to the much more fun Whiskey Tavern.This place has pickle backs and the bartenders are great. The prices are decent. Its a fun place. But, it just gets too packed on weekends. Its small and while small is OK, I feel like they let too many people in here.If you can, go over to Whiskey Tavern.Like my father used to say: Town is good, but Tavern is better!

Had a good time with friends. A couple dartboards and a dozen or so stools with some narrow tables. Relatively young (and white) crowd and fun throwback pop music.

SO crowded. Getting a drink was out of the question. I could barely dance or move. Im not one to go to places like this often, but I was not thrilled here and left as soon as I could. Youve gotta love that make room for peoples walkways in each and every direction at the club lifestyle to go here.

Wandered in here on a Friday night. Small bar, crowded mostly with an older college crowd. An older music selection (think Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy; perfect throwbacks) and lots of dancing, including on tables. Pricey drinks, but they do offer picklebacks which is a fun little touch.

Sprite doesn’t belong in a Margarita. I asked the bartender how his margarita was, planning to get either that or wine. He said it was good, sounded excited to make it, and then he went ahead and made one of the worst margaritas I’ve had, and put sprite in it. Would have been much better if he told me to order something else

Security guards are cool down to earth, the atmosphere is hilarious to me. Tuve have a photo booth which takes awesome pictures of your drunk friends. Bartenders work their magic with what they have on hand.

AMAZING VIBES AND MUSIC!!!! The dj is amazing and plays different genres.I went on a Saturday from 12:30-1:30am and it was busy but not packed. Most people seemed like they were in their late 20s and it had more of a bar vibe than somewhere to dance.There’s an adorable Photo Booth and it might be free (I don’t remember).

Good chill bar - the whiskey and coke was both big and strong. Lots of options and a cool setting.Had a few board games to play while you drink.

Pure fun! They have the best music. Yes, its fratty but hey, youre in the lower east side. What do you expect? A good place to let loose and dance!

I went here for a friends 30th birthday. There was a trivia night going on which was pretty well run (even though I am terrible). They even brought out some free shots and pickle juice chasers for the birthday.The beer selection was very underwhelming, but they had a Founders all day IPA and a Brooklyn lager in cans.

You have to catch them on a busy night. Great music, good decently priced drinks! I love the photo booth.

After the madness of Times Square, stopping in to this bar for a beer was just what I needed. 90s punk on the stereo and Dogma on the TVs. It ruled.

Looking for a night out on the weekend, Ill suggest better than this underrated bar with bad service. been coming here since I moved to NYC and Im unimpressed.

I love this place! Definitely more fun as the night goes on, but if you go around 10/11pm on a Friday night, youll have lots of space to dance! The DJ is also awesome - a nice combo of 80s, 90s, and todays pop/dance music. Drinks are on the pricier side, but what else do you expect on the Lower East Side/Manhattan? Bartenders are also pretty cool.

Whiskey town is a great time if you don’t mind the crowd. It can get a little close quarters in there. The music at night is great though, it’s pretty much every throwback you want to hear. And when I say you, I mean literally everyone in there so the energy is great.They sell 6packs of beer too. Really nice to not have to fight back to the bar!

A really fun dive bar in NYC. They have beer cans, you can buy a cooler to share with your friends. The pickle backs are always fun with a large group. It is a really affordable night out. On the weekends its packed and people dance. They play great music. Crowd is in mid to late 20s mostly. Bartenders are fast and friendly. No food, but of you ask you can bring food in. They accept credit and debit cards.

One of the best bars I have been to in New York. The atmosphere is amazing since everyone is dancing and singing along. Its a small place but never seems to disappoint. Would recommend it to anyone trying to go to a good bar in New York City. Play all different types of music and the crowd is pretty young nothing too old. Perfect for college kids

Fun little bar with a pleasant atmosphere and a live DJ on weekends. Cheap beers and nostalgic music ranging from hip hop to 2000s pop and rock meant that the bar became very crowded close to midnight! It was exciting but a very tight squeeze.

Great dive bar with a super friendly bar tender, John. Grilled cheese menu is superb, I recommend the Italian grilled cheese. Best trivia in town on Mondays. Very laid back atmosphere work lots of games and free popcorn!

- Line was fluid and efficient.- The bar was crowded on a Friday night, and is a really small space- Drinks were extremely pricey. Shot glasses were modified and maybe held 60% of a full most at most.Music was terribly mixed, and aged a few years. Not that great compared to DJs at other bars in the area

Went here years ago and gotta say, I had a splendid time. It’s your average dive bar with some extra whisky. Plus some cool koozies I was able to take home to always remember my time at Whiskey Town. Good vibes and great atmosphere.

If I could give this place a zero it would be a compliment. My entire wallet was stolen here in March and another friends wallet was stolen last night from our CLOSED bags. Employees here do nothing and are probably in on this scheme. DO NOT GO HERE. YOUR STUFF WILL BE STOLEN.

Do not come here this place is terrible. The manager here is very disrespectful and I can’t believe the way they treated us. Don’t waste your time here there are so many other good bars near this area.

The drinks were strong, but 3 well whiskeys shouldnt ever be $55 and the receipts dont come itemized. Then when they watched a drunk girl accidentally smack a brand new drink out of my hand and onto the floor, I was happily charged full price for another.

This place is great- excellent Manhattans, pickle-backs, and naturally a wide selection of whiskey. Dont come here trying to order a mojito or a Cosmo its rude and super embarrassing.

The bartenders are the best you can find in the EV! Def get at Lawless Whiskey shot, with or without the pickle.

Enough TVs to be helpful without being distracting. Some games, darts, etc. Chalkboard for darts not the best.

One male bouncer almost kicked me and friends out when another male customer at a table touched us and shoved us with his female friend. We are extremely disappointed with this behavior and we will not be returning. This is a sexist establishment and we will take no part In supporting it.
