The Dead Rabbit is one of the coolest bar and dining experiences I’ve had to date.My wife and I started with an Irish coffee at the bar on the main floor. My word was that good. This place was once listed as one of the top bars in the world, and I can see why. The drink was perfectly mixed, pleasantly warm and had a great kick from the whisky. We also had reservations for the parlor and had a wonderful meal in a more chill environment. Started out with a scotch egg, which was one of the tastiest things we ate during our entire trip. It’s perfectly crispy and delicious. The Guinness was on point and perfectly poured. Which pared very well with the fish and chips, which was light and flaky.Seriously one of the funnest and best meals we had on our trip. Would go again, if only for another scotch egg and Irish coffee.

The Dead Rabbit in NYC is a hidden gem in the Financial District! This charming Irish bar, tucked away on a beautiful corner, has a cozy and inviting atmosphere with gorgeous decor. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn’t too crowded, which made it perfect for a relaxed visit. You order directly from the bartender, and while the prices are a bit higher, the cocktails are absolutely top-notch—well worth every penny! Their food was fantastic as well. I also discovered they have locations in Austin, TX, and DC—definitely on our list for future trips!

Best bar in NYC, its not an upscale bar serving cocktails made with ingredients you have never heard of and names you cant pronounce. Its a good old Irish Pub that the likes of Tommy Gavin would frequent. The service was fantastic (shout out to our new best friend Vivian) we were able to try a fantastic lineup of Irish whiskeys, of which they have more than you could hope to run through. I wish they would open one close to home, but then again, I would be parked there 8 days a week.

What’s there to say about this place that hasn’t already been said? Often times, it’s hard to deliver on the hype— but The Dead Rabbit delivers on every single small detail. The philosophy of design and service shines through in every single thing they do, and as someone with an appreciation for the little things…this place truly does make you feel at home. Every pint poured with care. The food is exceptional. And the vibes just simply cannot be matched. I count myself grateful that the owners take the pride and care in curating such an experience. Priced very respectably as well. You leave feeling like you’ve gotten more than your moneys worth. I love this place.Edit; The Irish coffee is an absolute experience and a perfect way to put a cap on your experience. You must try one.

One of those situations where I had an impossible amount of hype built up in my head and they still somehow exceeded it. Great cocktails, great food, great service. I’d been here previously and would have attested to this being one of the best Irish pubs in the world.Based on a more recent visit I’d have to say that the years have not been kind to this place.Although bigger and possibly busier than ever I’d have to say the food was ok at best the Guinness (has to be on point for this type of pub) was disappointing, metallic and unusually for me I couldn’t finish. This was a real disappointment

Checked out this vintage bar in the Financial District of Manhattan. Its got that classic Irish pub feel with a ton of cocktail options, especially their Irish Coffee cocktails! Didnt indulge in any Irish coffee myself, didnt want to mess with my jet lag remedy progress, but I did try another cocktail that was amazing. Wanted to save room for their tasty-looking food, but alas, no space in the old tummy 🤣. We went on a busy day, right after St. Patrick’s Day, so there were lots of Irish folks (from Ireland!) around! Despite the crowd, the staff were super friendly and attentive. Love the vibe here! 🍹🍀

OVERHYPED & HORRIBLE FOOD. I visited The Dead Rabbit, October 27th around 10:00PM. My partner and I dined and we ordered oysters along with a regular drink.Within 30 minutes of leaving, we became severely ill, experiencing vomiting that lasted throughout the night. We were later diagnosed with food poisoning and remained unwell for an entire week. This not only ruined our last evening of vacation but also made our flight home unbearable. The oysters tasted off, raising concerns about their freshness or handling. To make matters worse, our server (a younger female) was unprofessional and rude, which further detracted from our experience. Whether due to negligence or improper practices, this is unacceptable for a restaurant of that reputation. This incident has caused significant distress, and I am concerned about the safety of other patrons who may have been exposed to the same risks. I hope it gets to the right person and takes appropriate action.

Three of us went there on a Friday night. Tables are small, place can get crowded. This is in the financial district so there were a lot of Wall Street business people there. Some with a big ego who took up a lot of space.Anyway, Kate was our server and the service she gave us was incredible. We ordered the Fish and Chips, which was well cooked, with a Harps beer batter, mushed peas and fries. The fish itself could have had more seasoning. The Turkey pot pie was very good and the drinks were excellent. Will definitely go again. When we went, the place was decorated for Christmas and it was very festive.

Finally made it here and it was great. Mostly had the cocktails. I love that they curate based on season and they just released a new menu. The ingredients are interesting and you wouldnt think they work together, but youd be surprised. We ordered the chips which were perfectly cooked fries that were crispy on the outside and soft, potato on the inside. My favorite dip was the aioli. And would recommend eating them when theyre hot/warm. Make reservations in advance if you can especially if you have a group larger than 2 people and to be seated in the 2nd floor area. Disappointed in this restaurant! We have a group that once a year goes to NYC for our annual eggnog tour today 12-14. We needed three reservations, one for 8, one for 6 and one for 4. We had the reservations for weeks. Tuesday all three reservations were canceled with no reason. Absolutely no way to manage a restaurant being in the industry myself! Dead Rabbits famous Irish coffee is always great any time of year. During the summer they have a nice frozen slush version of it. I also recommend the Twighlight Zone that has a nice spin on Guinness. Always get the chips! I also enjoy their shepards pie occasionally. They also host events like comedy shows or tastings. Prices are a bit steep but its good. Getting in can be hard sometimes for dining. For standing/bar seating they have a front room good for walk ins but I dont recommend coming into this tight space with a big group without a reservation or it being early. I come in solo and take one of the bar seats and you can order food there! Upstairs seating will have different menus but they always have the Irish coffee of course

Youll find your classics and some creative mixes, but nothing mind-blowing. Its just what youd expect from a standard bar. Now, onto the food. Meh. They have great food, a great atmosphere with the two different bars on different floors (downstairs is more of the spit and sawdust pub vibe and upstairs is more cocktails and food) but the thing that stands out is the drinks. Everything from the staples like the Guinness and Irish Coffee (best In NYC) to the really creative cocktails are excellent. Not to be missed

First walked in, I was pretty pumped, as I usually like Irish Pub themed establishments. I ordered some mussels for the table, they came in pretty sandy which I was certainly not expecting from ANY restaurant in this area. Sliders were good, fries were great for apps. I ordered the fish and chips for a dinner, which was a mistake. I place that fish in the top 5 worst meals I had so far this year. It looked good, the presentation was nice, but it was extremely watery, still cold in the center. I had a second bite from the other fillet (there were two) and it was the same. The server was very nice, but neglected to even consider mentioning why the dish was still full, yet clearly got the message because she removed the plate with the rest of the food from the group. A friend of mine did point out that Irish Pubs probably arent known for their fish and chips, so I take the heat on that one. But considering it is on the pricier side of the menu, I think it needs to be improved or removed as an option. Id probably return to give it another shot next time Im in the area visiting friends (I have one buddy swears by the place), but maybe Ill stick to a shepherds pie.Beers were great btw. Their house Red Ale is a big thumbs up.

I almost feel that this place doesnt need more good reviews at this point but it definitely deserves them. It is hands down the best cocktail bar I have been to. It starts with the bartender experience and the ability to try tons of Irish whiskey you couldnt try anywhere else in the United States. It goes so much further than that though. Even on the busiest nights they have taken extra care of me and the party I was in.I will mention that this place is definitely on the expensive side at $16 to $18 but they are worth it. Furthermore I feel you wont really like this place to its fullest until you spend a few hours and have a few drinks to get the experience. If you plan to go in, have a Guinness and get out then honestly you arent using this bar to its fullest.

I stopped in on Christmas Eve after a day of walking around on Ellis island in the cold. I was warmly greeted by the hostess checking vaccine cards which made me feel a lot safer than other places. I took a seat at the bar and took in all the decor and the huge selection of Irish whiskeys on the wall. My little Irish heart was happy. The bartender Matt was so attentive to me and the other customers and had a really great attitude and made you feel at home. I had a Irish Whiskey Highball and it was absolutely delicious and refreshing. I ordered the chicken pot pie and it was also delicious and filling on a cold day and topped it off with an Irish coffee that was perfect. The atmosphere and how welcoming the staff and other patrons are was lovely and I’ll definitely come back again when I’m in town. I was visiting from Baltimore.

Went there for some good St Paddys atmosphere and food. Sorely disappointed on both counts. No Irish music, just obscenely loud funk and other ear piercing stuff, and as someone who has trouble hearing from being in a band, thats saying something. Looking at the other review pictures and menu, was expecting decent portions but the Scotch egg had barely any sausage meat, the sausage rolls were tiny and the burger at $16 doesnt even come with fries. It was tasty enough thankfully. Also buyer beware, they say gratuity added automatically to bills over $150 on the site but actually, theyll add it to every bill. Just make sure you dont accidentally pay twice like we did.

One of the most interesting bars Ive ever had the pleasure of being in. The food is pretty good, but nothing overly exciting. I got the dead rabbit burger with grueyere. But the real reason youre here is for the drinks. I had the Loud and Clear and the Peace Process, both very different, but both equally delightful and delicious. The place is pretty small and fills up quick, so get there early if you can. Ive had many Irish breakfasts in my time, this is the best. I love the big wedges of black and white pudding. Cocktails are also incredible, this is a must place to visit

I almost always write good reviews here, but unfortunately this was quite a bad experience for me. We got no service at all and I literally had to waiter myself. It was really frustrating to get the bartender’s attention for ordering the drinks, but she did make sure to take my credit card for deposit in order to open a tab. Later, when I asked for the bill, I was surprised to find out that she already charged my card without my permission and that I was overcharged with no reason. I was so upset that I didn’t even want to complain or to ask to talk to the manager (I also felt that it would be a worthless hassle), I just wanted to get out of there.

Unbelievable. The downstairs bar and taproom are great, but the upstairs parlor is special. Make a reservation. Its worth it.

Its a bar with a great atmosphere. Drinks not bad. Waiters are stoic and really selective on customer care.

Theres a reason this is considered the best bar in the world. Each floor is its own experience, 3rd floor has some clever cocktails that are great to drink when waiting to get into the second floor. The second floor is absolutely incredible, worth whatever wait it takes to get in.

Amazing cocktail bar. The ambiance at this place is something remarkable. We ordered two Krombacher Pils beers, one of our favorite German beers not very easy to find in the US. Then we moved to cocktails and we had four different ones and they were fantastic all of them. We will come back for sure.

GREAT bar for curated cocktails. It was packed in the middle of the week. Prices are a little higher than some places. The average drink price was about $21. It was worth it for us due to the uniqueness of the drinks and great service. Its small, but this should not be mistaken for a dive bar!

Great if youre in the city center of New York doing touristy activities or if you work nearby and need to unwind after a long day. The Dead Rabbit definitely lives up to its reputation as the most awarded bar in the world. Youll find the best beverages in the country served in The Parlor, where youll amicably compete for a table with other cocktail connoisseurs.

Really cool place with tons of NYC historic photos and documents. As well, the drink menu is pretty incredible. Lets not forget the saw dust on the floor. Go... You wont be disappointed.
